When first coming across Baconism, one tends to be excited and overwhelmed by the prospect of becoming one with the Universal Baconic Weave. While such goals are the conclusive purpose of Baconism, the average Baconic Initiate cannot simply drop their normal responsibilities and activities to become a monk in the service of Bacon. Hopefully this article will allow many to come to appreciate their holy duties while also maintaining a normal life in our not quite entirely Baconic society.

Here are some simple things you can do to promote Baconity within your community and further yourself upon the Baconic path.

• Mention Bacon in your normal conversations. Compare things to Bacon, and say phrases such as these:
  • Bacon be with you.
  • May your arteries never clog.
  • In the name of Bacon, ...
• Join #Baconism on irc.freenode.net and chat about Baconism and other Bacon-related topics.
• Edit the wiki.

Starting a local bacon club is a great way of getting people in your neighborhood enthused about bacon. After a few sessions, people won't feel bad about accepting a bit of reading material to get them more aware about the church.

Here at the church, we have found that when you yell and scream scripture at random people on the street, they tend to believe what you say and are often intrigued to learn more.
